Brompton Conv-e Conversion
Due to the width of the Brompton forks, we used our narrow 80mm wide motor for this conversion. It was spoked in to the customer’s existing rim to keep the original look, while the battery was located on the frame top tube. This was done for two reasons, to not foul the beautiful fold system of the Brompton, but also keep the centre of gravity as low as possible and then decided a bag on the handlebars was too top heavy and would interfere with the steering of the bike. As a finishing touch, the battery pack was fitted with a leather cover to match the Brooks saddle!
